Browns Road
Agent – Property Brokers Pahiatua. John Arends Our 125Ha seasonal supply dairy farm at Browns Rd, Pahiatua was successfully sold at auction in December 2014. The marketing and sale was conducted by John Arends of Property Brokers Pahiatua. The process began many months prior with a clearly defined marketing strategy being developed for the auction on 11th Dec. The strategy included such elements as a timeline of critical dates, a clearly defined advertising campaign targeting key geographical areas outside the immediate location and details such as the location of the auction and the auctioneer himself. All relevant farm data was collated, including the financial performance over the last five years and presented in hard copy and DVD to prospective purchasers. I was impressed by the level of professionalism and dedication to detail displayed by John throughout the process. The strategy was successfully implemented, all timelines were met and the farm was successfully sold at auction 11th Dec 2014. Testament to a successful marketing strategy was the fact that despite the difficult market conditions - at the outset Fonterra’s milk price was $7 Kg Ms which declined to $4.70 Kg Ms just prior to the auction - the price received per Ha was a record for the area.
